This laboratory is complementary to the chemistry lab, as it detects all important bacteria and identifies their different types, using very advanced equipment which are specially supplied from France for this purpose, such as Vitek. The main types of bacteria which are detected; Salmonella, E. coli, shigella, Bacillus cereus, listeria and campylobacter. In addition, this laboratory has the ability to detect fungus.
